Narrative

As a developer, I want to get the CommonsMetaData extensionto work, so that I can implement key features of Media Viewer.

Acceptance Criteria

•DiscussCommonsMetaData API with Brian Wolf, to get a betterunderstanding ofhow it works

•Get these Gerrit patches reviewed and merged:

• https://gerrit.wikimedia.org/r/78926 - the Core patch that CMD depends on (Add "extended" file metadata to API)
• CommonsMetadata extension

Next Steps

• Start developing the Media Viewer features that depend on these patches (see related stories)

• Identify key features of Media Viewer that cannot be implemented with the current CMD implementation

• Improve CMD extension to support the remaining key features of Media Viewer (see related story #48 )
