Searching for "wikipedia errors" triggers Search error
Closed, DeclinedPublic

Description

Author: saff

Description:
If you search in wikipedia for the phrase "wikipedia errors", the search churns
for quite some time, and finally returns the error message: "There was a problem
with your search. This is probably temporary; try again in a few moments, or you
can search Wikipedia through an external search service". This does not happen
with "Britannica errors", or just "wikipedia", but does appear to happen with
"errors"

Did so. This is three times today with the same behavior: "britannica errors"
always quickly produces results. "wikipedia errors" always produces an error
page, sometimes fairly quickly. Does it actually WORKFORYOU?

Ok, I misunderstood you. You are putting the entire term "wikipedia errors"
(including the quotes) in the search box, is that correct?

Works fine here now.

Note that:

  1. Search is sometimes temporarily overloaded
  2. Results are cached for several minutes.
