After upgrading to MW 1.24.1 (from 1.21), Special:NewPages now displays zero results. If I create a new page right now, it shows up in Special:NewPages, but anything before the upgrade is not listed.
New pages *are* listed on Special:RecentChanges with an "N" next to them, so clearly something in MediaWiki knows they're new.
I ran maintenance/rebuildrecentchanges.php but it had no effect on Special:NewPages.
Hi I tryed this page on my site running MediaWiki 1.25 wmf 15. Why doint you try MediaWiki 1.25 wmf 15 and see if that fixes your problem. Please be ware that 1.25 is in alpha meaning it is prone to bugs and other issues. Try at own risk.
Thank you. I've installed 1.24.1 five times on three different servers. Only one of those installations is having the problem. Disabling extensions does not fix the problem.
I can't try 1.25 alpha on the problematic system because it's a production system, but thanks for the suggestion.

There is no bug -- it was user confusion.
Special:NewPages seems to default to the "Main" namespace only. (Is this new?) All the other new pages on the wiki recently were in other namespaces, so they didn't show up.
Thanks for finding the reason! No bug -> no problem in the code was "resolved" hence changing task status.
