In [[Special:Userrights]] we must use html formatting (e.g. <br />) and trailing
spacing i messages [[MediaWiki:Userrights-groupsavailable]] und
[[MediaWiki:Userrights-groupsmember]] due to their strange placement.
Currently, all formatting attempts disply the formatting codes on-screen instead
of following them.

It sounds like we should fix the "strangeness", rather than work around it - can
you elaborate?
Well the layout is pretty ugly, but that should be fixed in the layout, not the
label text.
