Expression selection box ignores letters typed during list creation lag on WiktionaryZ

Description:
When entering a new Relation, once I start typing into the Expression selection
box there is a noticable lag until the list appears. The list then appears set
to the top, ignoring the letters entered during the lag. Not until you start
typing or erasing again does the list jump to the correct position in the list.
Note that the letters entered during the lag are counted once you start using
the box again.

To be blatantly clear: Start typing 'k' into the Expression selection box. Wait
during the lag while the list is being created. It is now shown from the top of
the list (a lot of empty Bulgarian Expressions). Continue to type 'y', the list
now jumps to 'ky'.

If you start by 'ky', then erase the 'y', the list jumps to 'k'.

Using Firefox 1.5.0.6. Also tested against Safari 1.3.2 (v312.6) and Opera 9.01
which exhibits the same behaviour, all on Mac OSX 10.3.9
