MM. Not sure if that was intentional or not.
All anonymous clicks would be a lot of EventLogging traffic. What information would this give you / what answers?
Note you can see successful signups with campaign gather
Is this something we desperately need or can live without?

Not desperately need, but its pretty important as the watchlist star is the
primary driver of signups on mobile.
It used to be that for every 1000 clicks on star, 3 would sign up. Have we
lowered it with the Gather CTA? Did we increase it? Let's say we double
it in beta. How can we triple it the next quarter.

rmoen set Security to None.
rmoen moved this task from Ready for dev to In development on the Gather Sprint Diplodocus board.

Patch in gerrit

Logging all user clicks now to watchstar. When the user is newly registered and we open the CTA, we manually click the star. I'm omitting logging there as they already clicked it in the beginning of the signup.

@JKatzWMF can you confirm this is the desired behavior?

Log anon watchstar clicks to schema

@rmoen, thanks for asking. We do want to track that other click! It lets us know that they completed the login...--the source of that event should be "login" (not a blocker)
