We have an additional #w2c-server beta instance running at `https://w2c-beta.toolforge.org/`. This is meant is meant to publicly test new versions of the server until they are ready for deployment to the production instance. However, there is no simple way to use this beta server instance from the #w2c-gadget, probably the most widely used consumer of the Web2Cit server. Consider providing the possibility of adding an optional setting to one's `common.js` file indicating an alternative server instance that the #w2c-gadget should use.
