### Background
Various projects are already using a Toast component, a message that pops in and is displayed temporarily:
- WikiLambda (see [[ https://github.com/wikimedia/mediawiki-extensions-WikiLambda/blob/b7fe214e8b5ecc5904227219da0163f3d2b9294a/resources/ext.wikilambda.edit/components/base/Toast.vue | code ]])
- MachineVision (see [[ https://github.com/wikimedia/mediawiki-extensions-MachineVision/blob/master/resources/components/base/ToastNotification.vue | code ]] and [[ https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/T233234 | this task ]] that includes a design artifact)
- Mobile
The WikiLambda component looks like the [[ https://doc.wikimedia.org/codex/main/components/message.html | Message ]] component, while the MachineVision and mobile versions simply have a black background with white text.
This seems like a good candidate to add to our design system via the governance model process.
