The current displaying of CatWatch items as regular edits on various places(*) is rather confusing as it looks like the regular edit.
- {T126428}
- {T126849}
- They mix up with regular edits to such category.
- On IRC feed it's totally impossible to distinguish if it was an edit or CatWatch action.
(*)
- RecentChanges
- WatchList
- IRC feed
Find a different way how to display CatWatch changes on various changes list. Logged activities have their own log action format, both on changes list as well as on IRC feed. CatWatch actions should have their own as well.
Based on the IRC chat:
A flag "C" (like !NMbD) was considered, but it would be only solution for IRC feed to distinguish CatWatch actions from regular edits, however it would not remove the mixing of CatWatch actions and regular edits on on-wiki changes lists.
Logbook won't work either since it would group all CatWatch actions to single one on enchanced RecentChanges/Watchlist, while the purpose is to see each category (but not single CatWatch actions in it) separately.
Thus some kind of third way should be found.
