I see the problems, but just flood-filling the background in white is a quick win.
websites usually make a modified version of it for small sizes such as the favicon size.
Do we have the source file for the icon? Getting rid of the white outline in favor for a white background should be easy.

Suggest to split this in two issues just like one would do with a code-related issue. Solving that the outline looks bad has known fix (anti-aliasing and/or white background) whereas finding a favicon that looks less "W" like will be less trivial.

btw.: afaic one can use CSS for the favicon, but only if the icon is SVG (and thus the CSS will be the SVG’s CSS)
In general: Ask a UI and/or graphic designer.
The simplest fix is probably doing what Wikipedia does, too: Put the logo on a white background. The more complex one is having a logo that works well as favicon on either background (Like phabricator’s). This will be tricky since the "W" is pretty flimsy (Same for Wikipedia’s W, thus their solution, I guess).

@Kachiiee Thanks! I read your contribution. The hypothesis make sense to me.

@1_3_5_7_9, yes, when you translate it back to English (does not need to be perfect) I can give general feedback on the questions/answers.

Also do you think I can make a few edits and flesh it out some more?
Thanks for your summary! Just a detail I am curious about:

can I make use of python to explore the data please??
Mar 13 2023
@Maryam_Gbemisola: You can use Power BI (or any other tool) to explore the data, for final results we would prefer if they are created with an open source software (Python, R, calc, Orange3…).

General feedback:
- Some questions ask for what content people translate with the tool. This usually will be Wikipedia articles. There might be some reasons to ask what other content people translate (if you have a good hypothesis on that) but that particular question appeared in several surveys without further justification. (But if you know why, tell me the reasons please)
- Customer support: There is no customer support in the conventional sense for that tool. When you ask questions, please check what services exist and how they are named (People might have asked on the tools talkpage or on another talk page – this is probably the closest equivalent to a customer support)
@JaisAkansha: There is no fixed format. You can 1) Write in this issue 2) link an etherpad 3) upload a pdf
@Adeshile-Oluwatosin: I can't access the document, you need to put the sharing on "everyone with a link" (or use another platform)

Note: Please do not claim tasks. Several people can work on the same tasks but the system does only allow one person to "claim" it.
general Feedback:
- Age: Please use brackets that go up to 70 or 80, not just "50 or older" (I used only the few first brackets in my example, simply because I did not want to write a very long list)
- Name: I am curious: Why do so many surveys ask for a name? What do you want to do with it in your analysis?
- Type of content to translate: Quite some surveys ask for "What type of online content do you translate?". The tool we analyse in this task is primarily used to tranlsate Wikipedia articles. You can ask what content people usually translate if you have a particular interest in that, but the tool in question does not aim to be used e.g. to translate social media posts.
@JaisAkansha you linked to localhost, which is only avaliable on your own computer.
Mar 10 2023
Note: Please keep in mind that this projects and thus the survey is related to the Content translation tool: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Content_translation_tool . If you mention "the translation tool", I intuitively will assume you mean this tool and its focus on translating Wikipedia articles.
You do not need to constrain reserach to its use (and you can e.g. also research on other means of translation that people might use instead of the tool or when not knowing about it), I just wanted to provide this to show my likely interpreation.

I also has my reservations about asking people to fill their name, age, gender and other personal details, I feel most persons will not be comfortable with that too.
Mar 8 2023
@Sokovski You mean if it is a problem if the survey is longer than a page? Not per se. You should use the space for what is relevant for your research questions. A longer survey will be answered by fewer people, so ask only questions that are relevant and helpful for you. Just don't ask questions because "it might be interesting" or "because there might be correlations" (there always are correlations!)
Thank you for your answers, I will summarize my feedback here:

@srishakatux Thanks! I co-mentored several years ago, if I remember correctly, but it is a good reminder to refresh the knowledge (if there is any left, that is ;-) )

removing the SRE and SRE-Access-Requests tags, as we have no actionables yet.
