Lots of prime real estate wasted on the filter/preferences section once it's set up. Make it collapsible?

This is blocked by an upstream bug. I'll have to wait until the new version of angular material is released, which unfortunately brings breaking changes for me which need to be fixed first.

If collapsing the section is blocked, would it be possible to move it to the bottom of the page?

https://github.com/angular/material/issues/3172 got fixed hence resetting task status

Crosswatch seems unmaintained and inactive (see T269703). You may want to use https://meta.wikimedia.org/wiki/Special:GlobalWatchlist instead.
