Two example articles that generated this problem are Friedrich Mohs (nnwiki) with the diff (nowiki) and Mike Botts (nnwiki) with the diff (nowiki). In both cases the nnwiki (Norwegian Nynorsk) has a content template for born date like the following

I guess the code is somehow stripping off all kind of garbage initially, and the initial text gets lost because there is a following template. Perhaps a solution could be to have a list of whitelisted content templates that are known to be safe to prosess and use in their final form?
