Running an AWB find and replace operation with genfixes, autotag and unicodify enabled and I find that pages that have:

{{Reflist|2}}
are replaced with something like
References
{{reflist}}
External links
- {{wikispecies-inline|PAGE TITLE}}
This looks like a bug to me. If it's a feature, how do I disable the option?

That does not look like AWB gen fixes. As you said yoi have Find and replace options enabled. What exactly do you want to disable?

I should probably clarify that the wikispecies-inline template is being inserted in pages that have nothing to do with Biology. (I mainly only edit pages on Indian History.) So I end up having to manually remove the change.
I would like to disable whatever is triggering the replacement of {{reflist|2}} with {{reflist}} and the ==External links== section with the {{wikispecies-inline}} template.
Mine is a stock AWB install with no extra plugins enabled.

@Cpt.a.haddock please provide a diff and post your settings file. We do nothing with {{wikispecies-inline}} template.
User error. I see now that there was an age-old template substitution actually being triggered in certain cases. Apologies for wasting your time.
