The https role uses WebRequest::detectServer() so the predefined server/port overrides the actual one. This is a problem for vagrant boxes which should both be reachable from 127.0.0.1:4430 (for convenient manual testing) and from <guest ip>:443 (for use with another vagrant box, e.g. for testing InstantCommons backend changes).
