VisualEditor breaks a word before a link begins
Closed, DuplicatePublic

Description

In some languages the link frequently begins in the middle of a word, after prepositions, prefixes or articles. Such is the case in French, Italian, Hebrew, and many others.

VisualEditor breaks such words in the middle, and this is not right.

See an example, from the article Arquitecture de Barcelona in the Catalan Wikipedia:

arquitectura.png (921×1 px, 516 KB)

The problem appears in the first and second lines: the word "l'arquitectura" is not supposed to be broken.

Note that if there is more than one word in a link, then it's usually OK to break the link at the space, so don't force the whole link into "nowrap" or something :)
