Fraction in the exponent of a denominator
Closed, DeclinedPublic

Description

Hello,

if I put a (textstyle) fraction into the denominator of a textstyle fraction, the output of the fraction is to huge. An example could be <math>a(0,0) = \tfrac{1}{\left(2\pi\right)^{\tfrac{n}{2}}}</math>. I found it on the wikipedia page https://de.wikipedia.org/wiki/Oszillierendes_Integral . I added also a Screenshot.

I'm using the latest version of Mozilla Firefox, my operating system is Windows 10.

MathJax Web Demo (looks like this one):

KaTeX:
(try it yourself, it's worse.)

It looks certainly better with just frac instead of tfrac

I think we won't be able to change this one, before migrating to MathJax 3. For this particular case, I suggest writing n/2 instead as all the alternatives are not great.
