Right now, if you want to edit the categories for requests on articles that already exist, you are directed to edit the categories on Wikipedia. It would be better if you could directly edit the categories for the article within the interface. This would require a new OAuth consumer to be registered and there would need to be a warning in the interface that edits within Wikipedia Requests result in edits to Wikipedia.
