Hi @GeoffreyT2000, thanks for taking the time to report this!

What are "edit updates" specifically?

In general, splitting up tasks into a list of "Steps to reproduce", an "Actual outcome" and an "Expected outcome" section is very welcome, for easier reading. Also see https://mediawiki.org/wiki/How_to_report_a_bug - thanks!

WikiPage::doEditUpdates is called for the redirect revision, so this maybe is a problem with a long job queue

Hmm, I'm not sure, what the problem is. Could you please post some steps to reproduce and the result that doesn't match the expected one?

@GeoffreyT2000: Could you please clarify?
See https://mediawiki.org/wiki/How_to_report_a_bug for recommendations (Steps to reproduce; expected outcome; actual outcome)
