Perhaps pulling the article quality via Categories or even future ORES support?

On English Wikipedia, you can pull article quality from the PageAssessments API: https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension:PageAssessments#Pageassessments

FWIW, I think this idea is interesting, but potentially feature creep.
