original request

I believe this machine (db2015) is due for decommission, but we need to check.

It is not on puppet or monitoring (icinga, tendril). It is still on dns and maybe other places.

<papaul> jynus: warranty 2015 lol
<mutante> jynus: Purchase Date: 2012-04-09
<mutante> "os installed on db2001-db2012; as they are all R510s. db2014 and db1015 are two odd 720xd's purchased as the first of their kind, and thus have smaller hard disks than later revisions."

Its disks do not even boot. I am going to shut it down and let papal decom, unless robh has a different idea for it.

So this host had its warranty expire on 2015-04-10.

Normally I'd check with our DBAs if they need a replacement, but since @jcrespo filed the actual task, he is well aware of the loss of this system.

We'll need to follow the directions on:

https://wikitech.wikimedia.org/wiki/Server_Lifecycle#Reclaim_to_Spares_OR_Decommission

Also @mark should be made aware of any decommissioning of systems. I'll ping him about this via IRC for his information.

I've left him a PM about this. I'm going to assign it to him for his approval on decommission. Once he approves, please assign back to me, thanks!
