When I log in to Wikipedia, I check the box to keep me logged in for 365 days. However, for quite some time now (I believe it may have been around the time that box went from 30 too 365), I suddenly find myself logged off, forcing me to log in again. When it used to be 30 days, this never happened. When it first started happening, it was regular but never more than once a day and not every day. In the last perhaps week it has started logging me off every day in the middle of a session (not when I turn on the computer), and sometimes logging me off within minutes of the last time it logged me off.

Hi @Bbb23. Have you already tried deleting the Wikimedia related cookies in your browser? Which browser and operating system is this about? Does the problem also happen with another browser? Has this been brought up on a Village Pump or Support Desk already?

I use Windows 7 (64bit, home) and the latest version of Chrome. The link to the Pump is the latest link, but I brought this up first in October of this year at https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:Village_pump_(technical)/Archive_150#Logging_out. As you can see from that discussion, I used the bypass procedure at the time. I see no point in repeating that procedure when it did no good the first time. I have two other browsers on my computer, but I use neither of them for Wikipedia (ever). I have IE, I think version 11, and some previous version of Firefox. I can't edit Wikipedia with IE because I cannot adjust font sizes so I can see what the hell I'm doing. Firefox became unusable generally as Mozilla continued to drive it into the ground, which is why I switched to Chrome.

I answered the cookie and the browser questions on December 18. As for your first question, it's still a problem, but the frequency has reduced.
