install1001 is a VM
install2001 is a physical server
install2001 has a separate mount point for /srv with lots of space (500 GB), install1001 does not have any of that.
But install1001 needs more space or it can't hold the /srv for apt.wikimedia.org (which is currently on carbon which we want to get rid of).
For now i have rsynced APT data only to install2001, which could become the new apt.wm.org technically.
But install1001 should likely be identical to install2001 and not a VM, so i am asking does anyone know why we ended up with this inconsistency, and do you agree we should then recreate install1001 as a physical machine? Create hardware request?
Also, should it still be called install1001, or should we better go with install1002 to avoid issues with renaming. This might actually be easier, since then we could also use the current install1001 to install the new server.
