We continue to have releases where we see no crashes or major issues in beta, and then get user reviews of crashes and instability at startup. One way to reduce this risk is to make an effort to expand our beta testers pool and do more to encourage testers to actually update to beta versions.

Email to mobile-l asking for more participants- Add beta signup info to store description
Email the "design study" volunteer list asking them to sign up- Respond to user complaints on the app store/OTRS by asking them to enroll as testers

Just a side note on "yields" for future reference:
- The original sign up card was shown on the Explore feed in all English speaking territories for 3 days.
- From that 1583 valid email addresses of potential volunteers were registered.
- I then sent an email to all those volunteers.
- From that 176 users clicked through to the beta sign up form and were added to testflight after ~24 hours.
- Still TBD the number of beta installs generated...
