Phlogiston Bug: ParentTask set to false in recat still shows in Status Report
Closed, ResolvedPublic5 Estimated Story Points

Description

Task: T166714: Code hygiene ketchup (tracking)

This task is a dummy task and needs to be ignored as part of the useful information from the Status Report. The recat is set to:

ParentTask,Readers-Web-Kanban-Board (Code Hygiene Ketchup Task),false,2739,"Code hygiene ketchup (tracking)"

The task still appears as any other.

Event Timeline

This is probably moot, as ParentTask does not allow for this behavior anyway. "Omit" should be an option, but it's not clear to me that that feature included Status Report in its implementation. See T169789: Allow categories to be excluded from reporting

JAufrecht set the point value for this task to 5.Nov 3 2017, 10:54 PM

Is this request still valid? And do I understand it correctly:

As a Program Manager viewing a task-based Phlog category, I don't see the category-defining task itself in the report, so that it doesn't inflate the count.

?

And, that this be configurable?

This was fixed with the introduction of "omit" as a row in the "display" column of the recat csv. Don't recall the ticket ID.
