Templates are created independently on each wiki, and Content Translation relies on metadata for finding the corresponding templates and their parameters. Currently, we are working on improving the automatic mapping by using machine learning techniques (T224721), surface better when the automatic mapping fails (T203160) and provide easier ways for users to provide such mappings manually when missing (T221534). These efforts should reduce cases like the one described in this ticket, but feel free to share additional ideas.
