@Reedy This bug report is NOT about whether Special:WantedTemplates is working / getting updated. I have no doubt about that. This bug report is that certain templates that exist show up in Special:WantedTemplates

No, the templates were there long before and the bug has been existent for a while too. For instance, let's look at the history of ഫലകം:തടയപ്പെട്ടവര്‍‏‎

The pages mentioned by Jacob.jose still exists on the very same page. The purging is not correctly happening on that page. That page was last updated on September 10 2018.
