Description

I have noticed that links inserted with the visual editor, if they are not applied to the full word (something usual in languages with declension) they create a line break with the <nowiki> tag.

You can see it happening in this oldid: https://eu.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Marokoko_historia&oldid=6155769#Marokoko_historiaurrea with the word "Salen", if you have the correct screen resolution.

Event Timeline

Do you mean that with a syntax like [[Sale]]<nowiki/>n, there can be a line break between "Sale" and "n"? What browser are you using? This seems like a browser bug. It doesn't happen to me, the entire word "Salen" is kept on one line, like in these two screenshots (1 pixel of width apart):

I see, it happens only inside VE, not in view mode.
