Tested on Firefox and Chromium last versions, on Xubuntu last version as well. The page used for the test has ar, es, fr, ja or ru as priority language for translations.
Case 1: default user language is not a priority language
How to reproduce:
- go to https://meta.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Translate&group=page-Research%3AExpanding+Wikipedia+articles+across+languages%2FTool+Translations&language=en&action=page&filter=
- select another language (including qqq) that is not ar, es, fr, ja or ru
Expectation: the warning message is updated to match the new language
Reality: the first language selected is kept in the warning
Side note: selecting qqq shouldn't display any warning.
Case 2: default user language is a priority language
How to reproduce:
- have your interface using ar, es, fr, ja or ru
- go to https://meta.wikimedia.org/w/index.php?title=Special:Translate&group=page-Research%3AExpanding+Wikipedia+articles+across+languages%2FTool+Translations&language=fr&action=page&filter= (that's the link I have when I'm on my volunteer account, using French as default)
- select another language (including qqq) that is not ar, es, fr, ja or ru
Expectation: the warning message is displayed to match the new language
Reality: no warning message displayed.
