Update StringFunctions with improved code from ParserFunctions
Closed, DeclinedPublic

Description

Author: happy.melon.wiki

Description:
Regardless of whether the StringFunctions functionality is available in ParserFunctions (and I remain unconvinced of that being a good idea), there is no reason for StringFunctions to continue to run the outdated, DOS-able implementations when improved code is available.

@Liuxinyu970226: Why? This extension has not seen changes since 2012 and is not even in Git/Gerrit but still in SVN...

@Aklapper Because ParserFunctions is licensed under GPL-2.0-or-later, but StringFunctions is licensed under MIT, before shareing their codes, I probably need the can-do messages from both authors. Otherwise the shareing may violate license terms.

I think we should just archive String Functions and leave it as is.
