Steps to Reproduce:
Windows desktop computer -> Browser -> en.wikipedia.org -> any page -> source edit
Actual Results:
I do not anymore find the wikitext code insertion button those were found at bottom of edit window.

This is Mediawiki:edittools, which isn't very importable into the new editor. (I do have a userscript I wrote that does it, but I wouldn't want to consider it reliable.)
The right way to handle this is probably for wikis with edittools set to port it into the MediaWiki:Visualeditor-quick-access-characters.json message, which will show up in the "special characters" dialog inside visualeditor/new-wikitext-editor.
