Jonteemil updated the task description. (Show Details)

@Jonteemil I took a look at the summary that is made, and for sv.wiktionary, creating begreppsvärlden would have had the summary böjningsform av [[begreppsvärld]] - is there a common part of the summary that can be detected?

@DannyS712 Since it only renders wikicode - not saves the page - I'm unsure if that qualifies as a automated tool. In that case there is also another tool on sv.wikt. I can think of. Regardless, I guess the common part in the edit summaries when creating inflection pages would be /böjningsform av \[\[.+\]\]/

Not really an automated tool

@DannyS712 Yeah, but translation editor and /böjningsform av \[\[.+\]\]/ are not the same thing. See these edit summaries instead: https://tools.wmflabs.org/sigma/summary.py?name=Jonteemil&search=assisterat&max=500&server=svwiktionary&ns= and https://tools.wmflabs.org/sigma/summary.py?name=Jonteemil&search=assist%C3%A9&max=500&server=frwiktionary&ns=. It is these I want to add. I think we might have misunderstood each other :).

Please file a separate task for that

@DannyS712 I did... this is that task 😅 You were the one who brought up /böjningsform av \[\[.+\]\]/ in your first comment, not I.

Clearly there is a misunderstanding here, but I don't see it; leaving it for someone else

I agree there must be some kind of misunderstanding. Let me ask you why you brought up böjningsform av [[begreppsvärld]]?

I activated the gadget linked in the description and went to create a page with it, and that was the summary it filled in as far as I could tell. But, since I don't know the language, I probably missed something. Either way, I'll just leave this for someone else

Does this correspond to https://en.wiktionary.org/wiki/Wiktionary:Translations#Using_the_“Add_translation_button” on the English Wiktionary? If HotCat is an automated tool, this is too.

Edit: Sorry, this is apparently the Translation Adder which already has T250615 as a separate task.

From the two edits this tool makes mentioned above, I'm not sure there are any non-trivial parts of the edit summary that could be used to unambiguously identify the tool. I mean, "böjningsform av" is a phrase anyone could use when creating an inflection form, and "assisterat" does not really specify what tool is used. Maybe you can contact the developers to add "assisterat" with a link to the tool documentation to every edit the translation editor makes?

@1234qwer1234qwer4 you don't activate the tool or anything. It works exactly like Translation Adder over att en.wikt. i.e. it makes it possible to add translations of words under the translations header. "böjningsform av" isn't part of this tool whatsoever. The only thing that's part of this tool is "(assisterat)". If "assisterat" is a problem here, why isn't it problem with "assisted" at en.wikt. then?

Thanks for clearing this up; I thought inflected forms were an additional functionality due to the misunderstanding above.

I'd say "assisted" would be quite a problem on enwiktionary, as this word can be used by multiple tools. On enwiki, those are at least Rater and delsort, and some others in a word combination. However, the mentioned tools also add a link in the edit description, which makes them uniquely recognisable. This tool, on the other hand, does not, so this might lead to misrecognition. It could still be added until one is reported though.

@1234qwer1234qwer4 there isn't another tool on sv.wikt. that uses the same edit summary so it should be safe to add /\(assisterat\)/ as a regex for this tool :).

I don't know about the equivalent on fr.wikt. however so maybe we should wait a bit there. As I said it ought to be safe on sv.wikt. though.

Done for frwiktionary since that has a clear pattern with "Traductions" at the start.
