MediaWiki:Diff-multi should mention the number of users having edited intermediate revisions
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

It would be helpful if it were mentioned in diffs if all intermediary edits have been made by the same user, with a message replacing [[MediaWiki:Diff-multi]].

Addendum: This would be optimal if MediaWiki:Diff-multi were to mention the number of users having edited intermediate revisions: ($1 intermediate revision(s) by $2 user(s) not shown).

I think the wording in diff-multi kind of sucks, and maybe $n and $dbr->numRows() should be thrown through $wgLang->formatNum().

Yeah $wgLang->formatNum() is needed.

Also, I think we want to know if the intermediate users are just 1 user *and* that it's the same as the user on right-side of the diff.

I might also use a LIMIT 100 clause (and use "100+" as needed) to avoid problems with using diff=cur&oldid=<super old edit> on [[India]] or [[George Bush]].

Done in r72866.

Column Prototype
This is a very early prototype of a persistent column. It is not expected to work yet, and leaving it open will activate other new features which will break things. Press "\" (backslash) on your keyboard to close it now.
