Whitelist .ai (Adobe Illustrator) on WMF wikis
Closed, DeclinedPublic

Description

Author: CloudSurfer

Description:
I create maps etc in Adobe illustrator and then convert them to PNG files. If I could upload the
Adobe illustrator files then they could be downloaded and edited by anyone else in the future. They
could then be a shared resource for future changes. Sorry this is not a bug but a feature request.

Rejigging as a site request for clarity, but recommend WONTFIX: I don't think Adobe makes *anything* that can be considered a free format: at the very least it's patent-encumbered, and I'm reasonably sure that all access software is proprietary. We don't like these sorts of file formats on WMF wikis...

I'm going to WONTFIX this because it's about three years old now and we now support SVG which is a open source implementation of what this bug is requesting and is very actively supported.
