Some local Search script on English Wikipedia not loading ("TypeError: Cannot read property 'showPortlet' of undefined")

Description

Over on en.wikipedia.org I do new page patrol. I use a search script which let me search for the page topic on a variety of google tools and JSTOR.

That script is not loading: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wikipedia:WikiProject_User_scripts/Scripts/Search_links
I have attempted to get it to load on my https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Whiteguru/common.js
sometimes it loaded in preview, then it stopped loading totally.
I have run &safemode=1 on various pages to test if there are no problems. Twinkle disappears.
(I have default Twinkle settings)
I cannot see any other clash.
Browser is 82.0.2 (64-bit)
Browser extensions are:

  • Adblock Plus (reports no action for en.wikipedia.org)
  • Cisco Webex extension
  • Facebook Container
  • Print Friendly & PDF
  • to Google Translate
  • Wayback Machine

That's all I am running. Using Debugger on Firefox does not highlight any clashing scripts.
I can't determine the cause of this script not running.

Does this also happen in safe mode? See https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-firefox-issues-using-safe-mode
Does this also happen with a new and empty profile? See https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/troubleshoot-and-diagnose-firefox-problems#w_6-create-a-new-firefox-profile

No console errors
Safe mode was applied - script did not load
Loading a new and empty profile on Firefox does not fix the problem.

Hi @Whiteguru, thanks for the followup!
I now also tried (see screenshot); the script is broken and needs fixing on the local wiki.
Local scripts are maintained by each community hence I am closing this task here - thanks for your understanding!
