Sister Projects portals depend on pageviews to order the top 10. Currently this has to be done manually running gulp update-stats in rWPOR wikimedia-portals, and pasting the statistics on Meta. See page history. This has been done by Mxn and now by me. I try to update them at least one per month.

This is a request for the people tasked with doing the weekly project portal upgrades to update the project view stats at least one per month, and paste the results at Module:Project portal/views.json so sister project portals do show accurate results as well. What about a bot?

Maybe removing https://phabricator.wikimedia.org/diffusion/WPOR/browse/master/.gitignore$9 would ease this, as we could simply copy and paste the data from the git repo (or have it land in rWPRD wikimedia-portals-deploy somehow); but that'd require the builder bot to run gulp update-stats in addition to its usual worflow.
