Adjust NYT Zotero configuration for "(Published XXXX)" in title
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

In VisualEditor, when automatically generating references from the New York Times website, the text (Published XXXX) is appended to the end of the |title= field for New York Times articles published more than a year ago. For example, autofilling the article https://www.nytimes.com/1987/10/11/realestate/streetscapes-brooklyn-museum-a-touch-of-imperial-rome-gracing-eastern-parkway.html will result in the generated title: Streetscapes: Brooklyn Museum; A Touch of Imperial Rome Gracing Eastern Parkway (Published 1987).

This parenthetical text is never part of the article title, and should not be appended to the citation. Accordingly, the Zotero configuration should be modified so this text doesn't show up.

Event Timeline

I just opened https://github.com/zotero/translators/pull/2326 upstream, which should take care of the problem.

UPDATE: now in upstream master
