Closed, DuplicatePublic

Description

I've been getting this error for the past hour.

An error occurred: Server error: POST https://commons.wikimedia.org/w/api.php resulted in a 504 Gateway Timeout response: upstream request timeout

Event Timeline

@Languageseeker Can you provide more details on exactly how you are getting this error? Perhaps you can provide steps to reproduce it. Thanks!

If you look at the job queue it is mostly failures. https://ia-upload.toolforge.org/ Something major is going on.

Now, it just fails silently when trying to add a DJVU from the original jp2

This is the failed file https://archive.org/details/englishwomaninan00elli . There is no original DJVU and the jp2 files are in a tar.

Steps to reproduce

  1. Go to https://ia-upload.toolforge.org/
  2. ID of the file on Internet Archive: scientificsideli00fernrich
  3. File name on Commons: Scientific side-lights (1903)
  4. Format DJVU
  5. Select Get Metadata
  6. Goes to https://ia-upload.toolforge.org/commons/fill?iaId=scientificsideli00fernrich&commonsName=Scientific+side-lights+%281903%29&format=djvu
  7. Select DjVu file source: "Use existing DJVU"
  8. "Remove first page?" select "No, leave it in"
  9. Press "Upload"
