Description:
Dear friends, every click is time consuming especialy in busy
hours. Redundancy for maintaining lists both as articles and
as "to do lists" in the user, user talk, project, project talk
pages is time consuming too.
I made an alternative view of the list
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Gangleri/tests/list providing
direct links to features available anyhow, see
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Gangleri/tests/list_%
28maintenance_g%29 .
Unfortunately only the third line for "Pug" is doing what this
seccond list was intended to do:
- having direct links
to "history", "Special:Whatlinkshere", "Special:Recentchangeslinke
d", different google searchs.
I have identified the following problems:
- there is no string conversion for an arbitrary string available
as available for {{PAGENAMEE}}
- there is no string conversion for an arbitrary string available
as available for the
normal "Special:Whatlinkshere", "Special:Recentchangeslinked".
The code to make this is available semewhere including handling
for right to left writing for ar:, he:, ... languages.
The feature request is as follows:
a) provide a function that can be called as {{FORMATE|
{{{parameter}}}}} which can replace the spaces with underscores;
b) provide a function that can be called as {{FORMATURL|
{{{parameter}}}}} wich transforms the parameter in the same
manner as article, talk, project, project talk and so on names
are replaced to generate
the "Special:Whatlinkshere", "Special:Recentchangeslinked" pages.
RTL parameters should be supported too.
The example seem heavy. Different participants in a project can
create their own "maintenance" pages starting from a less
complicated one as
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User:Gangleri/tests/list_%
28maintenance%29 .
