Description

I've been trying to upload the one of the hackathon talks to commons for days and I haven't been able to.

With video2commons the upload failed consistently:

And using Upload wizard I get the same result.

The video is the original mp4 1080p 1,130,715KB (see on youtube, which I uploaded to video2commons, which converted it to vp9 and tried to upload.

I ended up doing the conversion myself as well to webm vp8 locally, resulting in a 800,987KB video file, which I tried multiple times on Upload wizard to no success.

@Aklapper Is this task properly tagged? Any suggestions? This is what I was talking about in the team meeting.

I've encountered this issue before; it led to this broader discussion. Video2commons as a whole very badly needs improvement.
