Quick country-level analysis on homepage
Closed, ResolvedPublic

Description

Now that we are getting country-level data into our client-side EventLogging schemas via T287121: Add geolocation information to Growth schemas, we want to make a simple initial analysis using it. A first analysis can help us identity what country-level investigation we care about for the future.

We've decided on this for a first attempt:

Counts and percentages of homepage visitors who do the "interact" and "click" actions on the homepage.

  • "Interact" means any interactions with the suggested edits module, and "click" means choosing a task to open.
  • Split by country
  • Also split by desktop/mobile.
  • In these Wikipedias: Spanish, Portuguese, Arabic

We can review a draft in a spreadsheet and then move it into slides.

nettrom_WMF changed the task status from Open to In Progress.Sep 17 2021, 8:14 PM
nettrom_WMF moved this task from Next 2 weeks to Doing on the Product-Analytics (Kanban) board.

A first set of data has been pulled and made available for analysis. I'll follow up on any questions that might arise.

The data we have is sufficient for now. We'll be sharing it with other pilot organizers, after which we'll most likely have some key questions that we can follow up on in new tasks.
