Description

The current installation instructions in the WikibaseLexeme readme file are outadetd and cluttered with redundant instructions. In order to make onboarding easier, and make sure our development instructions are up to date, these installation instructions should be updated.

Acceptance Criteria:

  • References to installation instructions of other extension are removed and replaced with a link to those extension's own README files.
  • Installation instructions for WikibaseLexeme itself are updated.
  • A link to the canonical mediwiki org instructions is included for users who are not interested in developing the extension

Prio Notes:

  • Might affect MediaWiki instance administrators, if they choose to install the extension using these instructions, or at least point them to right installation instructions.
  • Does not affect current developers, since they all have this extension installed.
  • Does not affect any known process owners.
  • Affects external and new developers, as it provides a clear and concise source of truth on installing this extension for development purposes.
