I have the app and receive push notifications when receiving Alerts or Notifications.
It would be good to extend this to desktop notifications, and (optionally, disabled by default) include Watchlist real-time updates.

Currently the watchlist has a self-update feature, but it only works when the page is in the active tab, and even if it worked behind-the-scenes I wouldn't have any way to know there are actual updates without going back to that tab. I need to regularly go back to the page to check, and refresh it to get alerts and notifications.

Benefits (why should this be implemented?):
I think it's clear from the parts above.

I saw an older task about desktop notifications which is closed, but I don't think it's about exactly the same thing. Apologies if it's already on the books somewhere, or if it's been denied before.
