Description

{{#get_file_data:}} fails in directory mode under Windows as described here: https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Extension_talk:External_Data#File path_works_fine,_Directory_not_working.

Possible reason -- hardcoded Unix directory separator (/).

The original user didn't respond here, but I think it's safe to assume at this point that this patch did indeed fix the problem.
