Steps to replicate the issue:
- Go to https://ru.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Заглавная_страница on the iPhone (using a browser)
- Request a desktop site in your browser's settings (advise for Safari https://www.browserstack.com/guide/request-desktop-site-on-iphone )
- See mobile site or error instead desktop
What happens?:
- Google Chrome, YaBrowser (Yandex), Firefox Focus, Edge, DuckDuckGo, Brave: mobile site does not change
- Safari offered to request a mobile site (sic!) and then did nothing (when requested again, the desktop site appeared)
- Opera. Redirects in https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Заглавная_страница (https://ru.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Зайцы - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Зайцы https://fr.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lièvre - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Lièvre and etc)
What should have happened instead?:
Desktop site. For example, in Firefox works correct.

iOS 15. According App Store, 82% of all devices use iOS 15 on May 31, 2022 (more than two months ago, https://developer.apple.com/support/app-store/).
