Malformed Echo alert and message icons on first visit to a wiki when using CentralAuth autologin

Description

Steps to replicate the issue (include links if applicable):

  • Unconfirmed if this step is required: Vector legacy
  • Create an account
  • Log in to a wiki that uses central auth, such as en.wikipedia.org. Probably need to select "keep me logged in" type settings to set the central auth cookies.
  • Unconfirmed if this step is required: Go to Special:Preferences at meta and set your language on all wikis to be English
  • Visit another wiki, such as en.wikiquote.org

What happens?:

  • Ping and notice icons are malformed on first page load. Refresh fixes it.

What should have happened instead?:

  • Ping and notice icons are normal on first page load. No refresh needed.

  • HTML looks identical.

  • Possible CSS issue. The following appears to be present in the working example and missing in the non working example.
