Description

MediaWiki Core's ./languages/i18n/bug.json defines for "mainpage" the value Leppa Indoë
That naming seems unwanted by our bug.wp community, thus there is a local wiki-only overwrite in https://bug.wikipedia.org/wiki/MediaWiki:Mainpage which defines Mappadecéŋ
- (The main page name defined in MediaWiki:Mainpage is also used when accessing the hostname only. You can see that when running curl -Ls -o /dev/null -w %{url_effective} https://bug.wikipedia.org/)
However, https://bug.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mappadecéŋ has the content #ALIH [[Watangpola]] to redirect within MediaWiki

That seems to make no sense?
The page https://bug.wikipedia.org/wiki/MediaWiki:Mainpage should likely be edited by replacing Mappadecéŋ with Watangpola.
All readers will save a few milliseconds by one redirect less.
It will also remove that unneeded/confusing subtitle line "Redirect from..." when visiting https://bug.wikipedia.org/

Yes, pppery was right. The situation 10 years ago was different contributors requested that. They are now not active anymore, and the newcomers want to change the Main Page to several choices before settled for Watang Bola (2022)

Then in August 2022, I was working with Wikimedia Indonesia and visited the community in the city of Makassar, and they asked the Watang Bola to be moved to Watangpola.

Since the project doesn't have an admin, I couldn't ask the local admin to rename/delete the MediaWiki:Mainpage.

I'm going to change https://translatewiki.net/wiki/MediaWiki:Mainpage/bug to Watangpola, and ask in SRM to delete the local MediaWiki:Mainpage.
