Description

Feature summary (what you would like to be able to do and where):

This link to my post in English Wikisource Scriptorium best describes the problem which I am told originates from a cookie.

Use case(s) (list the steps that you performed to discover that problem, and describe the actual underlying problem which you want to solve. Do not describe only a solution):

The requested information in the link above.

Benefits (why should this be implemented?):

Blinking lights are very distracting wile editing, and could be dangerous for others.

Sorry if I can't add additional info.

Event Timeline

Just clicking on the button should make it go away, I assume that does not happen for you ?

Ah I didn't look at the link before this, tying it to a user option seems like a good way to go, will put in a patch for that

Thanks and please close this issue.

A solid icon appears only once after logging in (cookies were cleared in advance), and disappeared on the second page opened for edit.

I repeated the sequence of steps taken previously, by which the blinking icon appeared with the opening of every subsequent page after logging in. I accessed the pages for editing through a list of links from this page. That's why I opened the issue.
