[SPIKE] How might interfaces encourage people to think critically about the changes they're making absent of an Edit Check being activated?
Open, Needs TriagePublic

Description

In a potential future where there are people who only know contributing to Wikipedia in a post-Edit Check world [i], how might we help them recognize that the absence of the interface offering them feedback about the changes they're making does not equate to them not needing to think critically about the changes they're planning to publish?

i. Read: editing interfaces make them aware when they are attempting to do something – implicitly or explicitly –that other volunteers are likely to question/be suspicious of.

This question emerged in the 14 July 2023 Editing Team Community Meeting.
