On the Japanese Wikipedia, we experienced a series of serious vandalism that indiscriminately changed edit tags on existing revisions (e.g. 1, 2). Given this, manually added edit tags have all been disabled, and we had a discussion for a countermeasure to re-enable the tags.
The discussion is 2 weeks old and only has supporting opinions. Please make the following changes in user permissions:
- Revoke changetags from the user user group.
- Assign the right to sysop, interface-admin, abusefilter, and bot.
