Feature request: having subfolders in reading lists
Open, LowPublic

Description

Hi! First off, thank you for everything that you do for Wikipedia. It’s changed my life, and I honestly believe it’s one of the most important collective action projects for a globalizing humanity.

I hadn’t checked out the app in a few years, and I’m blown away by how feature-rich and intuitive it’s become. The only feature I find myself wishing for is *folders for saved articles*. I want to be able to have subfolders to categorize groups of saved articles within larger categories. For example, right now I might make a saved list category for “botany”, but I would have to put any botany related article “loose” within that category. I would prefer to be able to assign a more specific article to a slightly narrower sublist. So instead of “dogwood” and “moss” being in the same loose “botany” list, I could place them in sublists for “shrubs” or “flowers” or “herbaceous plants” or whatever. All of those sublists being contained within the top level list of “botany”.

I’m sure there are plenty of constraints I’m not aware of, but I think it would be a big positive change for how I use the platform.

Thanks again for being part of this wonderful project :)
